hey guys. that’s me. yeah, that lady above, bundled up.!
the past week has been a real blessing. i feel a little more in tune with what i think i want to do and the direction that ‘little’ is going in and it feels good. i decided after a crazy month that i was going to take a week off, think, brainstorm, sketch, pray & fast. at the end of the day, this all isn’t about me but about the talents that God has blessed me with and whether or not i’m glorifying Him with them. it’s taken me a long time of playing church to get to the point that im at and im not even finished. im not even done being worked on. (“…being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” Philippians 1:6).
it’s refreshing to know that truth, believe and stand firm on it. in some ways i feel like im starting a new chapter in my life, starting a new journey where i will be fulfilling the dream that God has placed in me before i was even concieved or born and i love it.
so much is going on and so many new journeys are starting; marriage, business, friendships and new relationships and life in general. it’s not always easy, but it’s always a learning experience.
i can’t wait for you all to see the new things going on with ‘little’. they are going to be MAJORLY AWESOME!!!

It’s Almost Halloweeny…

there is a lot going on this saturday and im not sure if i want to do any of it. i kind of just want to sit in my pajamas, start a fire in the fireplace, watch scary movies and give out candy. that’s where its at this year. since i have been feeling that way, i’ve been thinking about what movies i would watch for halloween. now, im way more or a scaredy cat then i was before so i would keep the scares to a minimum. this is my list for halloween movie night….
scary scary!!!! we’ll see how things pan out.
M.I.S.S. Crew Women Making History: Lin Lin

i have been following the m.i.s.s. crew blog for quite some time and if you’ve been reading this blog on a semi regular basis you know how much i respect what they do and how they do it. m.i.s.s. is an extension of mama clothing; a brand that i thoroughly respect. i love their women making history blogs and try to read them as often as i can. i have found some of my fav brands from reading these blogs and am thankful for it. it’s nice to see young women doing whatever they do creatively to their fullest. this week i read about lin lin and jellymon. do yourself a favor and check it out. the creativity that goes into jellymon is off the hook. i’ve found a new fav brand. thanks m.i.s.s.
Oh, how time passes us by…

since it’s been raining for about 4 days straight in maryland and the degrees has dropped to about 45, i am realizing that summer is over (duh!). it’s sad, but true. oddly enough, i am embracing this cold weather with open arms. i like fall and i also like the cuddliness of winter. i looked through my camera and found some of my fav pics from the summer and decided that instead of complaining how cold it is and how much i miss summer, that i would think of all the awesome memories im going to make this fall/winter. hope you all are there. for now, check out some of my fav pics from sprig/summer…

I Look Like a Woman, but I Cut Like a Buffalo…

i fell in love with the dead weathers after my friend dave put one of their songs on a mix cd for me. after one sone, i knew that there was awesomeness written all over it, so i investigated. lo and behold there was awesomeness and while i sit in my bed sketching (for my winter 09 line), i switched from fuel tv to mtv u just in time to catch the video.
its funny how seeing a video can make you love a song more or make you question it and why you like it. i had this very clear picture of what a potential video for this song could look like and it is the complete opposite of the actual video. it made me appreciate the song in a different way. LOVE IT!!! i hope you love it as much as i do…
