Finding some Happy!

it’s friday and naturally fridays are a little happier than every other day of the week. it’s amazing how that happens! i have the privilege of starting my friday off with some of my favorite ladies; chatting about our dreams, goals and business in general and also slipping in some time to chat about boys (husbands, boyfriends, etc.)
for me, finding some happy for myself has been in those people who truly breathe into me and i breathe into. God has blessed me with a foundation of people who are amazing. as a Christian it can be hard to get distracted by the shiny plastic that is life and get away from living the Christ-centered life we are called to live.
While reading Carpe Diem by Tony Campolo last night i realized that God’s wish for us is to true be in love with the fact that we are assisting Him with this grand vision of forever. we are not here to put others down and judge them, we are here to encourage and build and learn as we go through our own life lessons.
To take a note from church (First Baptist Church of Glenarden) I am going to be happy on purpose today! i love that saying.

….I just want to have something to do with it!
I can’t quite explain how much this song pulls at my heart. It makes me think of love in general and all the goodness it brings. Most importantly, it makes me think about my husband and how I feel when I’m with him. Yeah, it’s mushy and if you know me that will be about the most mushiness you get out of this blog! This song is beautiful and so is the entire album.

the Smashing Pumpkins bring back so many memories for me. Ava Adore is one of my all time favorite songs and while i wasn’t a huge fan of Tonight, Tonight, there is no denying the beauty in that video.

sometimes you have to commit to and complete one great job! once that job is complete it can open the floodgates to other great and amazing things! these past couple weeks have been amazing! so much work, so many ideas, so much coffee!
