I have been going through a true time of inspiration. For the past few months, I have been visually reenergizing myself for the betterment of my Brand! This has been a much longer process than I initially thought, but thoroughly enjoyable.
My goal for LBDM is to truly grow and change as I grow and change. My vision for LBDM is for it to grow from season to season as I do. I have been challenging myself as a designer and as a visual thinker. This time of getting inspired has led me to Nick Knight. I’ve heard of Nick Knight before; a few times, but never really looked into his work. I saw his work with Lady Gaga and loved it, but never did any research into any of his other work.
I came across an image today in The Fashion Book which blew my mind and made me want more! I went straight to The Oracle (Google) and typed in his name. This is one of the TRUE few times my breathe was taken away! The art of Nick Knight represents so much of what I find visually stimulating and aesthetically pleasing! He creates images that can be dark, light, moody and whimsical all at the same time! His images are what my dreams are made of!
I’ve been realizing lately that my strongest attribute is my imagination. Digging within myself has been a journey to find out what I really want to represent and what I really want LITTLE to represent. It’s so amazing to find someone who takes their work and imagination to new heights, especially in a medium you can understand.

When I was in my painting class at Fairleigh Dickinson University, one of our assignments was to recreate a painting by one of our favorite artists. I chose ‘Blips and Ifs’ by Stuart Davis. After recreating this painting, I did more research on Stuart Davis and fell in love with his overall style and influences from jazz and advertising. If you don’t know him, you should. I hope you love his style as much as I do.

I CAN NOT WAIT UNTIL THE NEW NO DOUBT RECORD COMES OUT IN SEPTEMBER!!!!!!!!!!! This video illustrates exactly why I love No Doubt. They are classic. They have never changed; only grow.
I love that Gwens’ Harajuku Girls make an appearance in the video. It’s a true showing of how much the group respect one another and their personal ventures. Watch the video and love it!

I remember when I first heard ‘Youth and Young Manhood’ by Kings of Leon. That album is and will forever be a classic in my opinion. I was at my first and last corporate job in Washington DC and one of my coworkers let me listen to it. I bought it and have bought almost every one after that. ‘Aha Shake Heartbreak’ is another classic! The boys got some mainstream success and as much as I wanted everyone to know who they were and to love them like me, I still wanted to keep them to myself and the small group of people who didn’t just love the hit single on the radio! Then I realized, the people who just know the hit single, still love them; maybe not like the old-school KOL fans, but there is still love and if I were in a band, I would want a little love too!
The Kings are definitely on the list as one of my favorite bands. They’re up there with Sublime, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Jamiroquai! I revisited a couple of their videos tonight and decided to share. Enjoy! xoxo

I am so excited to finally put these linen card stock prints in the LBDM Shop!!! For those who aren’t familiar, linen card stock is a type of textured paper that is great for printing because of its ability to soak up ink. The saturation in these prints is amazing. You can check out the texture in these pics:
Want to see the full collection? I won’t make you wait!
Like what you see? Get your shop on here!! You never know, you may see one of these on a tee!

Joey Bada$$ is doing an amazing job at bringing back the raw essence of 90′s hip hop. In this Va$htie directed video for Waves, you can’t help but fall in love with his natural NY swag. My husband has been playing this song for months and it’s great to finally put visuals to audio! Enjoy…xoxo
