Making a LITTLE Mark: Branding
November 4th, 2011

Branding is sometimes more important that what you are actually branding. If you have no set brand, how will people be able to tell you apart from the rest? This is the beginnings of a refurbished LITTLE brand.
When you see this, there will be no doubt that is is LBDM: LITTLE by Darin Michelle. Made in Maryland.

A single design printed or sewn into fabric can symbolize an entire movement, cause, country, etc. It was only appropriate to have a piece that will constantly represent the brand. WAVE YOUR FLAG. Live. Love. Laugh. Like you’re LITTLE!
There are more branding pieces to come, but these are the two that have been the main focus of the LITTLE brand and what it is becoming. Keep your eyes peeled kittens!

The Audissey Wants You!
October 9th, 2011
Growing up in Annapolis, I have seen the rise of some AWESOME bands and musicians and artists in general. When my friends and I were in high school there was a BOOM of amazing local bands (Jimmies Chicken Shack, Jepetto, Power Movement Project, Good Charlotte, etc.)
The people in these bands were anywhere from 2 to 10 years older than my friends and I. Their influence is definitely alive in the art and sounds of the 20 somethings that are now creating out of Annapolis, MD. The music ranges from rock to reggae to go-go and so on. The Audissey has taken all of this influence, rolled it up into a ball and sprinkled it with their own funk. This is why I love them. Besides knowing these dudes since high school, they’re dug a hole in my heart through their sound and their spirit.
WHO WE ARE:
My name is Winship Wheatley. I’m a singer songwriter and Resident Musician at The Studio of the Arts (www.sotaspace.org) in Annapolis, MD. During my residency, I’ve been honing my skills in voice, guitar, drums, and keyboard, while collaborating with singer songwriter Joel Bays on a full length album for our band, The Audissey.
We’re professional musicians who want to continually write music, record, and perform, using the platform of music to have a positive influence on culture. READ MORE HERE

i am beyond excited about the new project that i am working on and expanding. LITTLE by Darin Michelle has been molding and shaping for almost 2 years; trying to figure out where it fits and belongs. is it just art, is it just graphic tees, what is it? is it an online boutique or shop or a blog? it’s a lot of things, but the one thing it will consistently be is a showcase of my creative works, spun into art and clothing.
after completely my first gallery show, i needed some time off to think and gather thoughts. now that that time is over, i’m ready to jump into building LITTLE into what i feel it is truly suppose to be. instead of typing my visions and goals, i will allow them to come to life visually for you and me.
LITTLE BY DARIN MICHELLE IS A SHOWCASE OF CREATIVE WORKS BY DARIN GILLIAM (formerly McFadden).

I AM TROY DAVIS
September 21st, 2011
“I have spent the past week with Troy’s family. He wanted the world to know that he understood that this struggle goes beyond just one man. Troy was prepared to die tonight. As he said again and again, the state of Georgia only held the power to take his physical body. They could not take his spirit, because he gave his life to God.”
