One band I wished I listened to more is Gideon!!! I think they may be one of my new favorite bands. I loved them immediately, but haven’t sat down a real good listen in a while; probably since earlier last year! Dang!!! I’m getting refilled with all their goodness this weekend.
Farewell Take it Back!

Take it Back! is one of my FAVORITE bands! Unfortunately, all great things must come to an end. They announced they’re breakup in the Fall of 2011 and have brought their last tour to a close. I am so sad to see them go, but as a fan, respect their music, their time to it and their decision. I wish I would have seen them when they came to town last, but at leas I have gotten the great chance to see them.
You all will be missed! xoxo

words cannot describe how much i love this band! i saw them for the first time a couple years ago in Annapolis at a Kobra Klutch show. they now have a few new members but are still as kicss@ss as they were with all the originals. facedown records has never let me down and im happy to see that these dudes are on the label. take a listen and fall in love! hopefully!

Sleeping Giant

i can’t say that i have one favorite band; i have many. one of my favs are sleeping giant from redlands, ca. for me, there is nothing like them; nothing like their music, their passion, and their intense shows. i not only love their music but look up to their faith. i had the pleasure of interviewing them for bleacht magazine, which was awesome.
i asked them at the end of the interview if they were going to play my favorite song,’no sleep from my eyes’, they said yes and asked me why it was my fav song. i always felt like i could’ve answered that question better. it’s my favorite song, because i always strive to have my heart cry out those lyrics: “All my life I wished for a fight that actually meant something more than all this earthly waste I hope to bring people face to face with you Lord…You’ll get no sleep from my eyes.”

I discovered Dave Quiggle through ways of Facedown Records and his amazingly talented brother Joel Quiggle, who I had the great opportunity of interviewing for Bleacht Magazine. I’ve been raving about these Quiggles for years now and can’t seem to shake how awesome they are. Not to mention that I will have the pleasure of meeting Dave Quiggle face-to-face in March for a tattoo appointment (YAY!!!!!). You know what…I’m going to let you discover they’re awesomeness on your own…
