Johnny Cupcakes x Creative Paradox Annapolis
September 28th, 2012
I can’t even begin to explain how much fun Monday night is going to be! Tshirts, cupcakes, candy, coffee truck…COFFEE TRUCK!!!!
The last time we hosted Mr. Cupcakes, a little over 300 people showed up. The first person showed up around noon and we put him to work. He helped us clean and set up and in turn was first in line. Though it was a long day, it was a great day. Meeting Johnny Cupcakes was great! He is as nice as you would think he is.
WE’RE DOING IT AGAIN ON MONDAY, OCTOBER 1ST!!! COME ON COME ALL!!!
dream: darinmichelle x benny gold
March 29th, 2011
years ago i came across johnny cupcakes which led me to finding the hundreds which led me to benny gold.
i have so much respect for each of these brands. i had the privilege of meeting johnny cupcakes who turned out to be just as delightful as i hoped he would be.
to me the hundreds is the epitome of what an amazing brand is; making truly terrific products and creating an amazing lifestyle brand based soley on staying true to themselves.
over the years i have connected more with the benny gold brand and his business structure as both a full-time Graphic Designer and clothing brand. he has an amazing eye and had been able to take a slightly traditional style and make it uniquely his own.
DEAR BENNY GOLD, im going to step my game up a bit, and when do i would love to collaborate with you on a t-shirt or awesome piece of awesomely awesome art.

Making Way for Johnny Cupcakes
April 25th, 2010
so, i’ve been soooo busy, that i totally forgot to blog about the johnny cupcakes show at SOTA. it was AWESOME!!!! i wish i wasn’t running around like a crazy woman because i would’ve taken more pics. we stayed up until about 1:30 am making cupcakes the night before and all day getting ready for that night. it was amazing. over 200 people showed up and Johnny and his crew were amazing and friendly to all of them. we took them out to sushi after to my personal “Cheers”, Tsunami in Annapolis and by time i got home, i was beat and at the same time floating on air because i saw with my own eyes someone who seems to thoroughly love his job…
Business Tip from Johnny Cupcakes
March 12th, 2010
“While going in on a business alone, your productivity level will be off the charts! Nobody is holding you back, & it’s up to you whether or not things progress to the next level. Sure, it might be a bit of a challenge, but the outcome is that much more satisfying! You shouldn’t settle for less just for some quick excitement & possible overnight success. Build a strong foundation. Your foundation. Even if it takes more time & energy than you had expected. Just keep in mind, Rome wasn’t built in a day.”
Johnny Cupcakes at SOTA Annapolis
February 10th, 2010
APRIL 3rd | 8pm
many of you know that i have been following johnny cupcakes brand for a few years now. he not only seems like a very down to earth guy, but is brand is unbelievable. as a person who is still developing my personal and business brand, johnny cupcakes is someone i’ve looked up to. his story continues to move me even after about 3 years of following him.
many of you also know that i am an artist in residence at SOTA. i love being there. it’s not only about being around fellow creatives or working hard but seeing my small town of annapolis, maryland flourish into a place where up and coming artist can connect and grow.
come out on april 3 at 8pm and meet johnny cupcakes, fall in love with his brand, probably eat some cupcakes and meet the artist in residence at SOTA. that’s a lot to do…why not do it all in one night at one place.
SEE YA THERE BUSTAS!!!!!

Johnny Cupcakes Lecture: VA
May 18th, 2009
if you know anything about me, you know i love johnny cupcakes. i respect the brand and the man behind it. i went to the lecture tonight (accompanied by my best friend) in northern virginia at west potomac academy/high school. it was surreal seeing someone who is practically the same age as me be swarmed by a group of kids taking photos and getting autographs, especially someone who makes a living out of the simple joy of making t-shirts.
i waited around a bit and thought about what i would say if i met him and i think all i really had to say was thank you. i couldn’t get through the little mob around him, but left a note on the back of my sticker saying thanks. thanks for the inspiration and being someone who i can look up to as a business person.
im sure he gets it a lot, but hey, sometimes you just gotta put it out there
