this has been such an important show for me and is actually starting to feel real for the first time in a month. i love it and am in love with it. as my first gallery show, i am happy to stand by it and truly call it my own; a reflection of who i am as an artists and the true emotions that i have felt.

just a few days to go. this was my progress over the weekend. i’ve gotten a lot farther. added the hooks to hang and have a few more things to fix.
it’s funny how once you get close to finishing that you start thinking about things you’ll change. it looks like it’s going to be a late one tonight.

every now and then you have to find a good cubby hole and sink it in. for me, it’s my studio space at SOTA. its a place where i can sink in and be creative, work on my upcoming projects and build ides for my clothing brand. you will find everything here from vinyl records, lunch boxes, a lot of fluff, vinyl and acrylic everywhere and bottle caps. they are only here because they inspire me or are waiting to be made into something.
Create Simply to Create

this has been my mantra lately. Create Simply to Create! I drew it and placed it in my studio. if you follow LITTLE on twitter, you know that AUGUST IS A BIG AND BUSY MONTH!!!
new collections from LITTLE will be dropping at the KAJS, KALIVODA, LITTLE Joint Pop Up Shop at the end of the month.
and my First Solo Art Show: Circus Ballerinas will be at the beginning of August…
in the meantime there are tons of projects, some side design work, some painting and a whole lotta fun stuff going on. i’ve been reminding myself that though i have dreams and aspirations and goals to meet, that it is still summer and every now and then you gotta break out a mojito! who doesn’t love a good mojito?

A Day in Le Studio

its amazing what one full focused day in the studio can do. there are so many things that i have working on for LITTLE and for my own personal art.
very soon i will have a lot of details about what i’ve been working on and what will be coming out of LITTLE for the end of summer, fall & winter (YAY!!!).

there are many people who inspire me. it’s nice when those people are accessible in your everyday life. my everyday accessible inspirational person of the day is Lacey Wheatley of Kalivoda.
as studio mates at SOTA: Studio of the Arts in Annapolis, MD, i’ve gotten to know Lacey very well. her craftsmanship is BANANAS…but her personality is what truly builds her and her brand. no wonder why Baltimore Magazine and Worn Magazine would both recognize her for her talents. there is a consistent integrity in her work that i admire.
