This Saturday: Circus Ballerina Closing Reception

this has been such an important show for me and is actually starting to feel real for the first time in a month. i love it and am in love with it. as my first gallery show, i am happy to stand by it and truly call it my own; a reflection of who i am as an artists and the true emotions that i have felt.

it’s been a long time coming and now it’s finally here!

every now and then you have to find a good cubby hole and sink it in. for me, it’s my studio space at SOTA. its a place where i can sink in and be creative, work on my upcoming projects and build ides for my clothing brand. you will find everything here from vinyl records, lunch boxes, a lot of fluff, vinyl and acrylic everywhere and bottle caps. they are only here because they inspire me or are waiting to be made into something.
A Day in Le Studio

its amazing what one full focused day in the studio can do. there are so many things that i have working on for LITTLE and for my own personal art.
very soon i will have a lot of details about what i’ve been working on and what will be coming out of LITTLE for the end of summer, fall & winter (YAY!!!).

there are many people who inspire me. it’s nice when those people are accessible in your everyday life. my everyday accessible inspirational person of the day is Lacey Wheatley of Kalivoda.
as studio mates at SOTA: Studio of the Arts in Annapolis, MD, i’ve gotten to know Lacey very well. her craftsmanship is BANANAS…but her personality is what truly builds her and her brand. no wonder why Baltimore Magazine and Worn Magazine would both recognize her for her talents. there is a consistent integrity in her work that i admire.

i recently became a resident artist at S.O.T.A. (Studio of the Arts) in my home town of Annapolis, Maryland and am loving it! i had the pleasure of working my first art show there and meet one of the most talented artists i have ever met. not only is Shelly Voorhees an amazing artist, she is also an amazing person who shines as much as her artwork. nuff said…check it out for yourself…
